Reading an image - media codes

1) Analyse this RBK 50 Cent advert using the media codes you learned in the lesson:  Technical, Written or verbal, Symbolic or non-verbal, Narrative. Write a paragraph for each one exploring the way meanings are created using those media codes. Technical codes: dark lighting to show how serious this is, The focus is on him and not the background as it's blanc.  Written/verbal codes: The dots represent how many times he was shot and it's written in a different font  Symbolic/non-verbal codes: The fingerprints show that he could've been arrested or something.   1) What meanings are the audience encouraged to take about the two main characters from the opening of the film? They probably assumed that the boys were in a gang due to their actions or that they were trouble makers as it seemed that the boys weren't listening to any one else. 2) How does the end of the film emphasise de Saussure’s belief that signs are polysemic – open to interpretation or more than one meaning?
